
On 23 June 2017, the Erasmus + National Office in Moldova organized a new monitoring session of the project "Libraries Network Support Services: Modernizing Libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus by Developing Library Staff and Reforming Libraries" (LNSS) from the ERASMUS+ Program implemented by the Scientific Libraries of the Academy of Public Administration and the State University "Alecu Russo" from Bălţi.
The meeting was held at the Library of the State University "Alecu Russo" in Balti. Its purpose was to discuss the results and progress of the project during the reporting period, October 2016 - June 2017, and planned activities by the end of 2017.
The event was attended by Claudia Melinte and Cristina Gherman, representatives of the Erasmus + National Office in Moldova, Nelea Amarfi-Railean, the pro-rector of the State University "Alecu Russo" in Balti for international relations, project members, teachers, librarians. The Academy of Public Administration was represented by Rodica Sobieski-Camerzan, Director of the Scientific Library, and Silvia Dulschi, PhD, Associate Professor, Head of Science and PhD.
The coordinator of the Erasmus+ National Office in Moldova Claudia Melinte stressed the usefulness of such meetings to discuss common events and activities, but also about the challenges that may arise.

At the project monitoring session, the representatives of the Scientific Library of Alecu Russo State University in Balti (Elena Harconita, Aculina Mihaluţa) and the Scientific Library of the Academy of Public Administration (Rodica Sobieski-Camerzan and Silvia Dulschi) made presentations in which reflected the activities implemented by both institutions according to the action plan of the project.
During the meeting, the participants spoke about the achievements and challenges encountered during the reporting period, about the activities to be carried out by the end of 2017.
The members of the project responded to the questions of the representatives of the Erasmus+ National Office, put forward proposals, pointed out the challenges that could emerge in the future identifying the possible solutions.
We would like to remind that the project "Libraries support services: modernizing libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus by developing library staff and libraries reforming" is under the Erasmus+ Program and is funded by the European Commission with duration of 36 months.
