LNSS project partners have signed a memorandum of partnership and cooperation

Participants in the International Conference for the Totalisation of the Library Network Support Services: Modernizing Libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through the Library Staff Development and Reforming Libraries [LNSS] project, which took place at the Academy of Public Administration in 3-5 October 2018, have signed a memorandum of partnership and post-project co-operation.

The Memorandum foresees a continuation of cooperation between signatory education institutions for a period of 5 years. The document aims to contribute to the development of relations between Armenia, Moldova and Belarus in the field of science, education and culture as a whole, to contribute to the development of information society, to improve the professional services and skills of university library employees, to disseminate best practices and to exchange experience among librarians.

 

Further cooperation will be ensured through the interuniversity sharing of expertise and internationalization of the LNSS module, the organization and participation in the National LNSS Awareness Days, the intervention programs and projects, including the international ones. These actions will be focused on the implementation of public functions in the provision of information services and access to information resources via the Internet and the introduction of innovative forms of service for users, participation in joint research and education projects, organization of round tables, seminars, workshops and other events.

  

The Memorandum was signed by the educational institutions in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus - Public Administration Academy of the Republic of Armenia (PAARA), Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences (YSULS), Goris State University (GSU ), Academy of Public Administration of Moldova (APAM), State University "Alecu Russo" from Bălţi (USARB), Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus (APA), Belarusian State University (BSU) the State of Brest (BrSTU) and Yanka Kupala State University in Grodno (YKSUG).
