Project Monitoring Commission Report

As part of our on-going monitoring of Erasmus+ activities in Moldova, a monitoring visit of above mentioned project took place on 16 December 2016 at the Academy of Public Administration of Moldova. Representatives of National Erasmus+ Office, Ms. Claudia MELINTE and Ms. Ana EFROS had the pleasure of visiting your partners' institutions and discussing the progress of project activities.

First of all we would like to thank your partners for the time they devoted to the discussions and for having provided updated information on the progress that is being made towards the achievement of the project objectives.

During the visit the monitors observed a high motivated partners who manifested high interest in the smooth flow and completion of the project activities. Moreover, it was positively observed a fluent communication between the coordinator and local partners who confirmed their satisfaction and enthusiasm collaborating in this project.

Following the findings of the monitoring visit carried out, we would like to give the following recommendations that were discussed with the local representatives during the monitoring visit:

·     To accelerate the process to purchase the project equipment. A certain delay is observed in the equipment purchasing (the specialized software for online information literacy course) - the project team should speed up the acquisition procedure. It is important to pay attention so that the purchasing procedure complies with the requirements (prior authorization of EACEA in case of changes or tender procedure, if necessary);

·     To consider to include additional English classes for the project team in Moldova. As mentioned in the report, the members of Moldovan LNSS project team expressed their necessity to have additional English lessons in order to improve their English skills, supplementing those organized so far by the university and the project.

·     To develop further partnerships and to sigh inter-institutional collaboration agreements (bilateral and multilateral) between partners, considering the good exchanges and cooperation within the LNSS project, it is recommended

·     The Moldovan partner universities are very motivated to develop the LNSS project activities and results. Considering that through this project Moldavian partner institutions involved are acquiring knowledge and know-how in the modernization of national regulation in the libraries domain, it may be recommended to encourage the Moldovan partners team to envisage for the near future, to cooperate together in developing a project at national level.

We would kindly ask you to actively follow these recommendations during the implementation of the project and to provide us with information, latest in your Intermediate Report, on how you have addressed these issues. Please ensure the circulation of this feedback to your partners.

We wish you a successful continuation of your activities.

Kind regards,
